What it is

How it's performed
The area is numbed with topical or local anesthetic. Using a fine needle, the fat-dissolving solution is injected into multiple points (typically 15–20) in the submental fat.
How it works
Deoxycholic acid breaks down fat cell membranes, causing them to dissolve. The body then naturally processes and eliminates these fat cells over time.
Post-care
Swelling, bruising, or numbness in the treated area for several days to weeks. Avoid pressure on the area.
Sessions
2–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
